health metter:

The common cold, also known as the flu, is a viral infection that primarily affects the respiratory system. It is one of the most common illnesses and is caused by different types of viruses, most commonly rhinoviruses.

The flu is highly contagious and spreads through tiny droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks. It can also be contracted by touching contaminated surfaces and then touching the nose or mouth. Symptoms typically appear one to three days after exposure and may include a runny or stuffy nose, sore throat, cough, congestion, mild headache, fatigue, and occasionally a low-grade fever.

Most cases of the common cold are self-limiting, meaning they resolve on their own within a week or two without specific medical treatment. Rest, staying hydrated, and over-the-counter medications can help relieve symptoms. However, for certain populations such as young children, the elderly, or individuals with weakened immune systems, the flu can lead to complications and require medical attention.

natural disastre:

The Armero tragedy was a devastating natural disaster that occurred in Colombia on November 13, 1985. It was triggered by the eruption of the Nevado del Ruiz volcano, located near the town of Armero.

The eruption caused a massive mudflow known as a lahar, which rapidly descended from the volcano's summit, picking up volcanic ash, debris, and water as it flowed down the slopes. The lahar gathered strength and speed as it traveled, eventually reaching the town of Armero, located about 48 kilometers away.

Tragically, the town was completely overwhelmed by the lahar. The massive mudflow, estimated to be 40 meters high, swept away buildings, bridges, and vehicles in its path. Thousands of residents were caught off guard, unable to escape the rapidly advancing mudflow. It is estimated that around 25,000 people lost their lives in the disaster, making it one of the deadliest volcanic eruptions in history.
